OFFERED FOR SALE TODAY IS THIS RARE ROLEX TUDOR OYSTER STEEL WRISTWATCH. CIRCA 1960 WITH ITS BEAUTIFUL ORIGINAL DIAL. THIS WRISTWATCH IS IN ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS ORIGINAL CONDITION FOR ITS AGE WHICH IS VERY UNUSUAL FOR A WATCH OF SOME 61 YEARS OLD.

THE WATCH IS IN GOOD WORKING ORDER AND IS IN EXCELLENT CONDITION. THIS WATCH HAS BEEN FULLY SERVICED BY MY MASTER WATCHMAKER AT GREAT COST TO ME (SEE PHOTOS OF THE SERVICING ON MY WATCHMAKERS BENCH) IT HAS BEEN FULLY STRIPPED DOWN TO ITS COMPONENT PARTS,CLEANED,OILED, TIMED AND RE-ASSEMBLED.

DESCRIPTION:

CASE:

The OYSTER case to this Rolex TUDOR Oyster wrist watch is in great condition! There is the normal light wear to it for its age but the case is in EXCELLENT all round condition. even though it is approximately 61 years of age! The Oyster screw down case back operates really well and has no cross threading. It only has normal light wear scratches and marks. The outside of the case is marked 'ORIGINAL OYSTER CASE BY ROLEX GENEVA' and has the ROLEX crown trademark engraved onto it as well. There is a light and small engraving across the center of the case back which is Latin and says ‘Tanto Patientia’ which means ‘Much Patience’ The inside of the case back is marked 'MONTRES TUDOR S.A'. The case back is also numbered 7934 and matches the number between the lugs showing that this is an original matched case and case back. The case measures 3.5 cms (35mm) across EXCLUDING THE SCREW DOWN CROWN.

DIAL:

This is a rare and excellent ROLEX TUDOR Oyster ROYAL ORIGINAL dial showing a light natural patina. It is FULLY signed. The applied baton indices with Arabic quarter hours numerals are in very good original condition. The golden steel hands are also in good condition. Everything about this dial seems original. The crystal is a brand new replacement and as such is in minty condition giving a great view of this fantastic ORIGINAL ROLEX TUDOR ROYAL OYSTER dial.

MOVEMENT:

This is an excellent original manual wind Rolex Tudor Oyster 17 jewel CALIBRE 1156 manual wind movement. This movement is FULLY signed on the top plate. This fantastic ROLEX TUDOR movement is in excellent working order. It has been dis-assembled, cleaned and FULLY SERVICED by my master watch maker of 40 years. It is then re-assembled oiled and timed. The watch winds smoothly and the screw down crown works exactly as it was designed to do. The watch sets easily. The crown is original, shows a little wear and is FULLY signed with the Rolex Crown trademark.

BAND:

This fantastic Rolex Oyster wristwatch has been fitted with a lovely brand new black genuine leather 18mm band. As it is new and unworn it is in good condition.
